        Location

a map showing Dubrovnik (Lapad), Dubrovnik Coast

        Discover Dubrovnik (Lapad)

Right next to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, along the Croatian coast, the scenic Lapad peninsula is a breath of fresh air in amongst its maze of terracotta roofs. Buzzing beaches, a picturesque harbour and bags of scenic coastline make this a tranquil choice for fun in the sun.

        Keys facts about Dubrovnik (Lapad)

        Pebble beaches

Lapad is a pretty plot curling out into the Adriatic Sea. It’s dotted with quiet, pebbly beaches, and patches of olive and cypress trees. The working harbour is the hub of it all – you can spend a few hours there people-watching over a coffee, or tucking into some Mediterranean food with a view of the boats.

        Island exploring

Lapad is really well-positioned for boat trips. From the harbour, you can take a 30-minute ferry to the totally chilled-out Elaphiti Islands. Cars aren’t allowed here, so most people rent bikes to explore the soft, sandy beaches and forests. Or hail a ‘taxi’ – and enjoy being driven around in a golf buggy…

        Close to medieval Dubrovnik

The bus drops you off right outside Dubrovnik’s grand Pile Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town. From here you can climb 600-year-old castle walls to drink in fantastic views across the Med. Or wander along the main thoroughfare, Stradun, with its ornate medieval fountain, shops and coffee houses.
