Royal Neptun Hotel

Very helpful and extremely friendly staff at the Hotel Neptun. It was a fabulous and unexpected delightful experience.The Hotel Neptun is in a perfect quiet position on the Lapad Peninsular, but only 20 minutes (by the very frequent number 6 bus) to Dubrovnik Old Town. Bus starts at Babin Kuk (just by the hotel) and the end of the route is at Pile Gate, Dubrovnik Old Town. So you always get a seat and there's no possibility in getting lost!The facilities available to Neptun residents are exceptional as the hotel is linked to 4 other (5 star) hotels as part of the Importanne Resort. So there is a choice of 9 swimming pools. These range from salt water pools near the sea, to roof top infinitiy pools and small pools on different levels. There is no 'beach' as such but there are plenty of sunbathing areas next to the sea, and lots of access into the sea by steps or jetties at the hotels or along the coast. There was never a feeling of being overcrowded. You could always find a place to catch the sun!There is a great choice of restaurants too as part of the group, and you don't need to carry money as you can charge it to your room in whatever hotel you are in. There is a lovely walk along by the sea with fantastic views and restaurants dotted along the way. A 20 minute stroll leads the Lapad Beach area where there are bars, restaurants and shops. All very convenient.The quality of this holiday was truely way beyond expectation and we would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a two week holiday like us or a just long weekend.

I recently returned from a week's holiday in Dubrovnik along with my husband and my parents. We stayed at the Neptun hotel and would highly recommend it. Our package included breakfast and the range of food and beverages available was excellent. The rooms are modern and beds very comfortable. House-keeping attended daily and regularly changed bed sheets and towels. Staff in the hotel were always friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has pool facilities and stunning views. It is located on a pedestrian walk way which made it very easy to access local shops and restaurants and the local bus service is cheap, easy to use and reliable. We really enjoyed our stay at Neptun hotel and we will definitely return again.

On arrival 1st thought was hmmmm this place looks nice. Room was not ready so we received a completely drink which was very welcome. Waited about half a hour. Room was lovely side of the hotel with a lovely mountain and sea view added bonus. Had 2 single beds which after speaking to the cleaner she made it into a double. We went bed and breakfast which was nice. First night we whent out we got caught up with a hefty food bill as we did not understand the courancy. So decided to upgrade to half board for a extra 40 euro each. We ate the evening me 3 times then decided the food was rather poor so downgraded back to b and b. The staff was really nice about it. Was a little shocked to find the pool area was rather small so decided to use the beach about 15 minute walk away which was stunning. Eating out once we found are feet we found some lovely places, Cave bar at sunset was stunning meal was fantastic. Did a few trips beast one was to montenegro great day out. Overall lovely hotel but they could improve on the food.

We stayed here for 1 week and found the hotel very pleasant. Its positioned on a rocky peninsula so you should get a good view of the wonderful adriatic coast whichever room you have. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Bus service to old town is very good but can be busy. Only takes about 10 mins though. Breakfast is very good with a huge selection of food and drink. We also had dinner at one of the sister hotel restaurants which was also very good but we mostly ate elsewhere in and around Dubrovnik.. My only issue (dont want to sound like an english man abroad but !) there was no milk for the tea and coffee in the rooms. Cant see the point in having this without the milk. The staff did offer to supply some fresh milk which we put in the mini bar fridge. We mostly eat and drink elsewhere but I do like a nice cuppa first thing in the morning. Local beach was a pleasant 15 minute stroll down a lovely cliff side path with great views of the coast. The old town is great and has stunning views from city walls. Cable car is great (but quite expensive) with even better views. The surrounding islands are beautiful. Lokrum, just outside the old harbour is well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed in Hotel Neptun - worth paying extra for a sea view, because the view is to die for and the sunsets amazign. Glad we stayed on the penninsula Babin Kuk - 20 minute bus ride to Dubrovnik Old city and buses very regular.

Lovely hotel, helpful and friendly staff, air conditioning excellent.. I think an improvement would be to make the small pool outside the bar adults only leaving the other 2 pools for families. Very convenient for the bus into the old town. The food was good although we only did bed and breakfast preferring to eat out in the evenings

From the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we left every member of staff was friendly and gave the impression that we, the customers were their number one priority. They did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel itself was excellent, very clean and well maintained. The bars and restaurants had plenty of choice and the staff gave brilliant service even down to trying to help us speak Croatian.

Travelled as a couple for last two weeks in June with jet 2. On arrival found our superior room was on the second floor overlooking the building site. Although no building was actually going on the balcony was covered in dust making it impossible to sit out. When my partner went to bed he found that the bed was soaking wet! I went to resecption to complain about room location and wet bed but was told we could not be moved as the hotel was full. However housekeeping came and changed all the bedding and turned the mattress. The next day we were offered a small room on the other side of the hotel which we took so that we could sit outside. We weren't offered any compensation for this down grade. The food in the restaurant used for breakfast and evening meal was quite average and certainly not the 5 star that we had thought. However the staff were quite friendly tried to be helpful. This hotel should be used as a short break when visiting Dubrovnik as there was no entertainment or daytime activity programme for a longer stay.

The hotel is excellent, breakfast very good. Location fabulous with lovely views. The bus stop to Dubrovnik is located only 5 minutes away, also have a lovely bar named On the Rocks only minutes away, with lovely helpful friendly staff and good food. Also they have a beach towel system, where you just show the beach towel card given to you by the hotel staff, quote your room number and receive the towel for use on the free sun loungers and complete with a parasol. You simply hand the beach towel card in again after use. They also have some nice shops and a few restaurants along with a travel agency nearby when you walk just a few minutes further than the bus stop through a pleasant park area.
