Constantinos The Great Beach Hotel

The food was cold at every meal time whatever time you went in to dining room so it meant we had to eat out alot which made holiday expensive and not 4 star hotel the room cleaning was very good either

Hotel was in a good location . Entrance Lobby Clean , uncluttered and welcoming . Receptionists Polite and professional . OUR Room was spacious , clean and had a Beautiful Sea View . Pool and Garden Area was a little cramped ( too many sun beds and too close together ) . Beach front , once again ,beautiful . Our Main Concerns were , there are only two small Lifts ( certainly not enough for a hotel this size ) and the Dress Code was certainly not adhered to for the Evening Meal ( Guests would enter the Dining room wearing totally inappropriate attire , even though the dress code was stipulated in the Hotels conditions of stay ) .

Having read a lot of reviews after booking and being worried, a lot of my worries were misplaced. The food was my main cause for concern however, it was not as bad as the other reviews make out. Yes there may be a large array of fresh fruit and bread lacking which you’d normally expect from a 5 star. But the breakfast was more than adequate. We swapped dinner for lunches to take advantage of the huge choice on the strip for our evening meal, and found there was lots of choice and the food was always tasty.The pool area is fab, right on the beach and the other side of the hotel is the strip, so location wise this place is great. The rooms are modern and fresh and were cleaned daily. The bathroom however was my main issue with this hotel. On arrival the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned with soap residue from the previous occupants all over the sink taps. I thought this might have been an oversight, however following our weeks stay it was clear the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned once during the whole stay. The silverwear in the bathroom (taps, shower etc) was disgusting. We went on holiday with my in laws who stayed in another room and it was the same for them, so this is probably consistent across the hotel which is not good enough for a five star hotel.

Fantastic room and hotel with one big flaw, the food which was really nice was always cold. Ate in two nights then abandon hope it would improve. Such a relief eating out and having to blow food to cool it. This is basic hygiene and must be addresed. Such a shame as it was nice food. Same goes for breakfast too.

Great holiday. Hotel does need some work which is bring done this year but did not stop us having a great time. Sarah on the entertainment team was great and very hard working. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and the only disappointment was the food was not as good as before. Previously we had a great meal every lunch and dinner but there was not as much Cypriot food as we hoped. Hotel had a lot of Russians staying and also a large wedding party that were very noisy especially in the early hours. Staff are friendly and helpful some you do have to ask again. Hotel has great location and we will return soon.

Could do with a revamp,bedrooms dated, beds lumpy, entertainment almost non existent,but the staff are friendly food is good and so is the quality of the drinks except you have to pay for bottled water which in a all inclusive hotel is unacceptable.the hotel next door is the same chain but has better sun beds and outdoor furniture (no rust). There are a lot of cats at this hotel which are not in a healthy condition (open cuts and sores,) when mentioned to staff the worst seemed to disappear overnight (I wonder where?) overall though we still had a good time.

So there were a few of us travelled to The Constantinos the Great in October for a wedding. I've been to Protaras many times but not to this particular hotel, fabulous wedding couldn't fault it at all!! Hotel was lovely but could do with a refurb. Lovely staff and the animation team were fab! Food was good as long as you're not picky, to be honest the food is better at the Tsokkos Gardens, but we certainly didn't go hungry. The Constantinos is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk to the main drag.i would stay here again

The Hotel Was very poor we would not go back to this Hotel Again the view we had was amazing the food there's not much choice The Staff Were not nice entertainment was poor it's was most in foreign languages not in English the Hotel looks amazing outside but very disappointing inside

this hotel is badly in need of a full make over as its looking tired,wall paper hanging off the walls,carpets very grubby, rooms clean but in need of a revamp, pool area was nice and big and a kiddies pool area but thats as good as it gets, the pool it self was only cleaned once a week and around the pool once in the 2 weeks we were there,sun loungers were mainly broken and a bit dangerous and not very comfortable, the staff were not very friendly especially reception,food very bland and cold.only 2 lifts in the hotel 1 of which broke down for over 2 days. if this hotel had a complete make over and raised the standard in food etc it could be a nice hotel as the position of the hotel is excellent.

The staff on site could not do more for you. Very friendly. Hotel is in a great location right next to the beach and the main strip. Swimming pool is large and gives both opportunity for adults to swim and children to play. Local entertainment was varied and enjoyable.

Hotel needs upgrading. When we first arrived room was not very clean, other peoples hairs lying about bathroom and marks on bedclothes. I complained to reception and they said they would get sorted, nothing happened and although maid was in every day her cleaning skills were none existent. Bedsheets never changed throughout our weeks stay. Food was average but never hot. Reception did not understand English very well. Would not go back, there are a lot nicer hotels that are not 5 star but exceed this hotel by a mile.

We have spent many previous holidays at this hotel. It is sad to witness it slowly going down hill. The decor and carpets are years old and filthy. The food is at best edible, and the hot food is always cold. However the staff are as usual, friendly and helpful. This hotel is now only 3 star at most.
