Portes Beach Hotel

We stayed for 7 nights at the end of July 22. Overall it was a great family holiday. We travelled with a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The hotel’s location and facilities were spot on. The beach is right there with pretty good sand for the kids to play with and then the hotel’s pool and splash pool is right there too, so you can flit between them all with ease. Perfect for the kids! Room was dated and a bit cramped but kept clean by the daily visit of the cleaner. Food was in abundance. Kids always struggle with this kind of buffet but they always found something to eat. Pasta is always available, so they didn’t go hungry. Mini disco was enjoyed by both kids but it didn’t start until 8:30pm! Later than I would have liked as it meant later bedtimes, but nevertheless it was fun. Overall, a great holiday. Travelled with Jet2, we couldn’t fault them at all.

Beautiful hotel and clean and beautiful beach 🏖. Very friendly staff and plenty of food 🥘 good variety of food. Only downside is that is middle of nowhere but very beautiful resort and would recommend to everyone.

Brilliant hotel brilliant food and brilliant all inclusive package where everything actually is all included, or at least in. My experience. The food was excellent and the staff can't do enough to help you especially if you have children. The beach is attached and is immaculate as is the water, and the water sports are included too. The rooms are clean basic and comfy and have air conditioning. This is a family hotel, so don't come here expecting nightclubs. Outside of the hotel there is not much happening

we had an excellent time at this hotel resort. we had a party of 20 adults and five children. the staff were excellent and the food and drink was first class . the only criticism was that the swimming pool had too much chlorine which resulted in some of our party suffering from stinging eyes and damage to dyed cotton swimwear.

Loved the hotel, the good food, the location on the beach and the service. Staff very friendly and helpful. The reception bar tender is worth a mention Michaelis (I think that is how you spell his name). Very friendly and informative. The entertainment team encouraged people to get involved in activities like Volley Ball and water aerobics, and Olympic games night! There were a couple canoes and pedolas available to use as part of all inclusive option. Beach towels available with a 5 Euro refundable deposit. At extra cost there is a Local firm offering boat hire and inflatable rides, waterskiing and windsurfing. We hired a boat for the six of us and they gave a brief lesson and let us drive off on our own through the canal and other side of the peninsular! Sea and pool lovely and warm to swim in - may want to wear swim shoes to enter the sea as there are some pebbles and shells at the shore-line making it a little sore on the feet to get in. Loved the setting and appreciated there were some nice shady areas with umbrellas on the beach and trees near the pool area. Cooked breakfast is from 7:30 am to 9:30 am which is a struggle to get up for with the 2 hour ahead time difference if travelling from the UK. But it did make us get up early and not waste time in bed! They do have continental breakfast open til 10am. Travelled with Jet 2 for first time and would well recommend them - Maria the hotel rep was lovely, friendly and informative. Made some good suggestions as to where to visit - like a local beach bar in nearby Potedia and lovely village Afytos as well as a brilliant night out at the Bousoulas beach bar in Sani Beach. Go on a Wednesday night as it's a white night party! Great for our 15, 17, 22 and 24 year olds. DJ playing modern music with a saxaphonist and dancers in the crowd. Amazingly, it's open for families of all ages.These extra trips made our holiday. The hotel evening entertainment is quite low key otherwise which is fine for a quiet holiday. Overall we really enjoyed our time at Portes Beach and would well recommend it.

Main thing to note here is that this hotel is situated on a main road, not a resort. There is nothing within walking distance. Having said that if the weather is great you dont need to go anywhere! My partner and i stayed 4 nights end of September. We had two hot and sunny days, nights got a little breezy and chilly. Pool area is lovely, not many sun beds though. Food on all inclusive was ok but a little repetitive even for 4 days. Main clientele are German. Staff dont speak much English but you can get by. Safe is in the room and it cost us 10 Euro for our stay. The beach area is narrow and plenty of sun loungers. Beware the sea bed us stoney until you get further out can be a bit painful on bare feet!

This hotel is lovely for a relaxing beach holiday. Excellent rooms with good air conditioning. Pool area very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Firm but fair life guard working at the pool area. Gardens are very pretty and well kept. The only downside was it is slightly remote and on a busy road. You cannot walk anywhere from the hotel and the bus trips from the hotel although they are free, there isn't much to see when you get there. If you are happy on the beach and round the pool then this hotel is a good choice.

The hotel lived up to expectations and the description in the brochure was accurate. We were aware of the location being a little cut off but this does not concern us. The room was very good and service at all bars and restaurants was excellent. The staff are very hard working. Food quality was excellent but we would have preferred maybe a little more Greek food but it catered mainly for all nationalities. The nearby beach was small but perfectly adequate and the sea was great to swim in.I would certainly recommend the hotel to others wanting a peaceful holiday. Entertainment was not very good but we do not worry about that . Be aware that if you want good evening entertainment you won't get it here.

Beautiful hotel cannot fault it but the situation is very remote. There is no where to walk in an evening, no shops just nothing. The front of hotel is on a major road and thee back is on the beach. Also very few English people in hotel mainly Russian and Eastern Europeans. Evening entertainment very poor.
