Hotel Diana Roof Garden

Lovely hotel in a good location. Most of the main attractions are walkable. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Had complimentary drinks which is a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely also. The occasional interaction with reception on advice on how to get to places was also good. The hotel is close - five minutes away - to the main station and a metro line which is handy. Further, in the area, there is a very good selection of restaurants. Sampled a few and the food / wine was brilliant. Perfect base to explore a city that offers plenty…….brilliant time.

This was a perfect location from the termini station. On arrival we were greeted by a a lovely lady on reception it was quick and easy to check in. Our room was on the 5th floor and was perfect gorgeous bathroom and a mini fridge which is replenished daily. Tea and coffee facilities too. We slept well the beds were comfy. Breakfast was great plenty to choose from anyone who complains about this is clearly very fussy and expects top notch. I’m fussy and I managed every day. It was lovely to sit in the outdoor area to eat every morning. We found plenty of places to eat nearby and this hotel to be the perfect spot for seeing all the tourist hotspots. If I would have one complaint about here it is that there’s only one lift and we found this to be a pain when the hotel was busy. Would we return if ever in Rome again?? Yes we would

Hotel was perfect for our 3 night break, room comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet area was a little cramped together, but choices varied. Roof top terrace was so overgrown with shrubbery it was impossible to view the surroundings, which was a shame.Overall a good hotel.

I booked 4 nights at this hotel through Jet2 City Breaks. It is located near to the main railway station, only a couple of minutes walk from the station (direct train to and from the airport) to the hotel. Downside to that is that it is a fair distance to the actual old town, but the Metro is close by if you don't fancy the 15 - 20 minute walk. Reception were very friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to be in the process of being upgraded. My room was immaculate - furniture, wallpaper, bedlinen - obviously newly/very recently refurbished (goes for the bathroom too). I had tea and coffee making facilities in my room, which I hadn't expected in an Italian hotel, but that might have to do with my having booked through a UK tour company (Brits like to make drinks in their bedrooms)! The restaurant area (very good continental breakfast and very pleasant staff) was also shiny and new. The corridor leading from the lift to my bedroom was quite dark and in need of an update, but I assume they will get round to it! There are lots of little restaurants in the area around the hotel for something to eat in the evening. I didn't use the hotel's restaurant other than for breakfast. All in all, this place is not the Ritz, but I was very happy given what I had paid and I would certainly consider staying there again.

Really comfortable stay, staff very friendly, ideal base in the middle of the city, close to all amenities, bus station, train station and starting point for most sightseeing tours. Would go back again

Very disappointed. Roof Top Garden not open every night. We booked hotel to use this facility at night but was told we couldn’t due to private management family parties. Website is not accurate. Photos are misleading. Not a lot of choice for breakfast. The bar manager was the only person who made us feel comfortable.

Room looked outdated, stain on the ceiling, damaged wallpaper and hanged spotlight. Poor wi-fi in our room, connection constantly dissapeared. 2 single beds put together do not count as double bed!Not good enough for 4 star rating, good location close to Coliseum.

Just returned after a fantastic break in Rome. The Diana Roof Garden is a beautiful hotel in a great location just round the corner from the Metro terminal which makes all the attractions easily accessible. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, a special shout out to Fabio who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms are small but very clean modern and comfortable. A great continental breakfast is available and we were very impressed with the roof garden views. You can watch the sunset over the Vatican, which we did on a few occasions. Overall very happy with the hotel and would definitely choose this again if we were to return to Rome.

Excellent location, rooms and staff . Rooftop bar and restaurant was a great way to relax after a hot day sightseeing. Wonderful bar and restaurant staff - very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Would absolutely recommend and would book again without hesitation.

I'd booked this trip away as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday. I'd forewarned the hotel that it was my husband's 50th birthday on the day of arrival and therefore asked for us to be provided with a lovely double room. On arrival, my husband's birthday was neither mentioned nor marked in anyway, as i would've expected. When we arrived at the hotel we were shown to a room on the third floor which had the view of an internal wall out of the window, with scaffolding blocking the view of the internal wall. The room was very small and not acceptable. I just cried when I saw it. Very poor. The second room we were given was better, on the sixth floor but not as I would imagine a 4 star room to be - it was very small with the tiniest bathroom imaginable. The toilet was right in front of the shower which had outward opening doors - very squished. The shower base overfilled - didn't empty effectively - so you had to be really quick in the shower to prevent it from overflowing. The hairdryer had marks on the outside indicative of overheating. The room was very small and did not at all resemble the rooms on the hotel's website. One of the lights didn't work. But the room was functional - however, not to the standard I would expect from a 4 star hotel, and therefore didn't seem at all value for money. The dining room was very poor and dingey and actually reduced me to tears for a second time. The quality of the breakfast was abysmal, seemingly having been prepared earlier and not replenished. The first morning my husband couldn't get any bacon or sausage at all and none was forthcoming, and all was cold on the second morning. I'm a vegetarian, so had to settle for toast and jam - and a boiled egg (didn't want the powdered scrambled) - one on the first morning as they'd run out and none were replenished. The second morning my husband managed to get two boiled eggs for me, the third morning we went out for breakfast as the experience was so bad - certainly not of 4 star quality. The lifts were wholly inadequate for the hotel so we were waiting a long time for the lift each time and, being quite small, often we couldn't get into the lift on the first passing so had to wait even longer. No-one seemed at all interested in us being there - and the staff, particularly in the dining room were miserable. All in all a very poor show. The only positive was the hotel's location - close to other restaurants of superior quality and the sights of Rome.

Great location for seeing all Rome has to offer. We walked to all the major tourist sights from here. If you don't wish to walk the termini stations are a short walk away with easy action to all attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful. The roof garden a great place to sit and have an nice drink.

Spent 4 nights as a family holiday. Central location, nice restaurants nearby. Stayed in a family room, great shower and great free wifi. Continental breakfast was lovely. We were at back of hotel so wakened at 6:30am with noisy bin lorries but other than that was fab. Nice touch with water , Pepsi and crisps refreshed every day.

We booked this hotel mainly for 2 reasons, location and hotel amenities and we where not disappointed in either. All the main tourist sites where only 15min walk from the hotel except the Vatican which was 45min, however the walk there was great as you pass some great shops, cafes and churches. The main train station was only 5mins from the hotel. Breakfast was great, good choice and always fresh. We went to Naples for the day (only a little over an hour on the high speed train) and did not have time for breakfast, the hotel arranged a breakfast box/bag with croissant, juice, water and a range of biscuits - really good. Rooms was super clean (every day) with tea/coffee making facilities, also the hotel supply 2 bottles of water, crisps and biscuits everyday - all complimentary. Would I recommend this hotel - Yes in a heartbeat.

The room was fine for what we needed as we were out most of the time anyway, but the building works were quite noisy and intrusive. There was scaffolding directly outside our window with builders walking by, so we kept out shutters closed and although there was a lift available while another was closed there were stairs between the lift and each floor - fine most of the time, but a bit of a struggle with luggage. The breakfast was good and the view from the roof lovely. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and transport links. We took a €4 bus from the airport to Termini station and walked to the hotel in a few minutes. I wouldn't stay here if I wanted to spend time in the hotel, but for a cheap, accessible city stay it suited us.

A nice clean comfortable hotel with a good location only five minutes walk from the termini and a twenty minute walk to the historical sights and monuments. It is ideally suited as a business hotel rather than a leisure hotel. Food was okay but not stunning, it was adequate. Hotel staff are efficient and business-like. We had rooms at the back of the hotel which was very very noisy from 5.30am each morning with bin lorries, recycling trucks.
