Hotel Verona is clearly a family run hotel (all the staff look the same) not far from the Colosseum and the Termini railway, bus and metro hub. The room we had, for three, was spacious with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was very good, a buffet, but there was always a very friendly lady to make coffee on demand (there was a machine, but the hand made coffees were much nicer!). There is a good Pizzeria next door if you're feeling particularly lazy, but also within easy walking distance of many other restaurants. There is also a fabulous Gelateria only 100m away.
My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Verona from the 22nd to the 25th February. The hotel staff were really lovely. They were friendly, polite and only too happy to help. They went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is in a central location, only a 10 min walk to The Colosseum or the Trevi Fountain and just a little further to the Spanish steps. The Vatican was a 20 min walk in the other direction, perfect! The breakfast was fresh and tasty and our room was spotless. If I could suggest any improvements it would be to replace the very hard beds and maybe offer a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay at the Hotel Verona again!
the hotel had brilliant reviews that's why we picked it, we thought we will be out all day so we don't need anything fancy, the position of the hotel was more important. when you're in Rome and you're out and about all day long all you want to have is a comfortable bed to sleep properly trough the night. with the beds we had it was impossible. Two cheapest single beds together and as soon as you moved the bed was moving as well. No chance for cuddles for the couples or anything else, no decent sleep either. Apart from that, bathroom was a shower room so it was very awkward to take a shower as the pole was falling down and the shower curtain was sticking to you whilst you tried to shower and the whole bathroom, toilet everything was wet afterwards. It's quite close to everywhere, walking distance, but you have thousands hotels to chose from in the same distance to the attractions so i would not stay there again. Room conditioning wasn't very strong either so you couldn't cool the room down properly as we would want to. Apart from all that breakfast were nice, people working there too.
Bad start to hold as navigation system was not working so our 7.15 am flight turned into a 10.10 am departure. Waited ages for luggage. Driven by maniac driver in jet to transfer transport. However hotel was lovely, so was holiday in Rome. Staff were friendly.

The basic flight fare (including all taxes and non-optional charges), one piece of check-in baggage, accommodation and coach transfers if stated form the ‘FREE’ element of the price. All other ancillary charges on the flight or during the holiday, such as extra legroom and in-flight meals, room upgrades, and optional meal arrangements, and for villas, pool heating, shall be chargeable. Please note, transfers are not included within a Jet2CityBreaks booking.
One Free Child Place is available when there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price. There can only be one Free Child Place per room, or per villa, on the booking. With the exception of villa products, multiple Free Child Places can be booked as long as there are at least 2 passengers paying the full price per child place, each Free Child Place is assigned into a different room and there is availability of Free Child Places. Where a party consists of one adult and two children, one child will be charged the full price applicable to their age and the other child will receive the Free Child Place.
The child age where a Free Child Place would be applicable is displayed on the accommodation description page of the brochure and on our website. The child age on the date of return must not exceed the specified age to be applicable to a Free Child Place.
The full deposit must be paid for the Free Child Place and the deposit will be deducted from the final holiday invoice. This will be displayed at time of booking. If you cancel your holiday there will be a £60 charge payable in respect of the child, in addition to any charges set out in clause 5 of our terms and conditions.
