Old Town treasures
This UNESCO-listed part of the town is made up of traditional stone buildings with terracotta rooves that rest on a headland overlooking Small Beach. After it was badly damaged during earthquakes in 1969 and 1979, most of the buildings have been beautifully restored to their original glory. Today, you can weave in and out of cafés, bars and galleries or enjoy the serene sea view through an archway or window.
