Vale d'Oliveiras Quinta Resort & Spa

Excellent hotel in beautiful location. Staff were fantastic and accommodation was of an exceptional standard. Good food. Lots of optional activities at low/no cost. Daughter suffered foot injury due to missing tiles in indoor pool. The hotel immediately responded and rectified. If only the same could be said of Jet2!

We have been to this resort 4 times. The apartments are spacious. We booked a garden view apartment which is fab for kids as they can play outside. The apartments are are cleaned daily. The breakfasts are superb. The pool area is lovely but could do with a few more sunloungers during peak times. The kids club is very safe and Sandra is fantastic. You do need a car but it is a 5 min drive into the town. A very relaxing place to go on holiday.

We stayed in the two bedroom townhouse with a garden view. Very spacious with access to the garden from bedrooms and living area. Cleaned on a daily basis. Satellite tv provided bbc and itv channels. Kitchen very well equipped. Food choices at pool bar limited and hotel restaurant food over priced. If you haven't hired a car suggest making use of the courtesy bus to go to Carevoira or Ferraguda then take taxi back.

We had a fantastic time at Vale d'Oliveira Quinta Resort & Spa. A really good resort for families with young children, but still a relaxing place for the grownups. We stayed on a half board basis, breakfast was offered as a buffet, and very good quality. Dinner was available initially only in the main restaurant, with a "menu du jour" that was of such quality that we were never tempted to go off-piste and select the a la carte menu which was available for a small supplement. During the week other dining options were opening up for the rest of the season, with an Italian themed Bistro utilising the pool bar area. Accommodation was excellent and widely dispersed through the immaculately kept grounds. the one bedroom town house that we were accommodated in was large and fresh, and the kitchen was well appointed with all of the crockery, cutlery, glasses and appliances that you would ever need. The only slight disadvantage, which was absolutely no issue for us, was that the resort is pretty isolated. It is only a short taxi ride to beach, or the nearest towns or super markets, another is a complementary shuttle bus available. Some people may see this as a down side, but for us it just added to the peacefulness and lack of distraction. There is a small privately run shop for necessities on site, but is not open all day so some consideration needs to be made to stocking up with water and wine.
