great hotel spotless ,great breakfast and staff both helpful and courteous Could not have been better Pool and spa easily available all day everyday with plenty sun beds available and not booked very very good

Lovely hotel, great staff and service. Breakfast was very good, had something for everyone. Views from Ria/sea view room were amazing. Room was very spacious, bathroom really good size. Nice pool, again with great views, plenty of sun loungers. The location was superb, Olhao is a lovely place to stay, long promenade to enjoy the scenery and boats. A brilliant holiday.

At first glance every ting was fine ,room was lovely, however the service was terrible and we complained a number of times. Rooms not made up by 5.00 pm so we complained again. No entertainment, and there is nothing to do in Olhao. We only did b&b and the quality at breakfast wasnt 5 star, i dont know what the meat was on the last 3 days ,but it wasn't bacon . It's very expensive for drinks in the hotel, much cheaper in the outside restaurants, and lastly the decking around the pool was badly broken, an accident waiting to happen.

Just returned from a great week at the Real Marina hotel, not only did we luck in with having the warmest week in May but also enjoyed from having the benefit of being allocated a top floor full sea view room which was spacious, very clean and had comfortable beds. The main restaurant serves a high quality of a la carte food and although there seemed to be some minor service issues due to newly recruited staff being trained for the new season this didn't really reflect on the enjoyment of our holiday. Would we return - it's an absolute yes from us!

We have stayed here every year for the past few years (sometimes twice a year ) and have always found it to be one of the very best, well run and friendly hotels around. The staff are of the highest quality, so very friendly and helpful.

This was our eighth visit to the Real Marina hotel and once again we have no complaints regarding our stay.The staff are friendly and helpful and are always willing to give advice.The breakfast is excellent and caters for all tastes.We will be returning again in May 2019 and I am confident we will have the same relaxing holiday as in previous years

Excellent hotel friendly staff great service cleanliness of hotel and rooms excellent. Food and drink good value for money 2nd visit to this hotel would go back tomorrow ammenities at the hotel and local area second to none.

Just returned from 10 days in the Real Marina Hotel. Fantastic hotel with wonderful facilities Cooked food not to my taste, often swimming in fat. Everything else was excellent with lots of choices. Hotel well situated for easy, flat walking into town away from traffic.

Hotel clean and modern. Nice pool, spoiled by damaged decking. Breakfast options good. Evening meal main dishes disappointing. Resort was pleasant and quiet, some excellent bars a short walk into the town. Some areas a bit tatty with paved areas in need of weeding. There seemed to be a number of properties being renovated which bodes well for the future. In general a nice town. No beach at the town, but a short ferry or water taxi ride to excellent beaches at nearby islands.

This was classed as 5* it was definitely not. 4* just. The food was not what you would expect in a 5*. The outside pool area was not clean. The pool was used by the seagulls and lots of feathers floating on it. We had a room that was described having a village view , this turned out to be a caravan park with grafiti. The lounge was not a relaxing place there is no comfortable seating, just tables and what can only described as dining room chairs.

beautiful hotel. the evening buffet is well worth the price, nice pool area, rooms are lovely and spacious ans the air con is fantastic coming down the wall and its so quite, staff are lovely and helpful only problem is its a bit far out from the town

Hotel was only 15 minute walk from town centre and market area. Room was pleasantly decorated, very spacious and spotlessly clean. All of the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Meals were well presented and had a varied selection on each evening.The evening entertainment in the dining area was quite good although a little repetitive. In all we had a very relaxing stay in a very good hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Food and accommodation great. Rooms with even numbers are at the back of the hotel and the balconies get the afternoon/evening sun. Food to die for. Different buffet style each night. Entertainment was lovely.

Most tourists to the Algarve head West from Faro but this hotel is to the East of the Province only 15 mins transfer time from the airport. The influence of tourism on this area is much less obvious and, in our opinion, all the better for that ! The location of the Real Marina and Spa is excellent - a short level walk along the water front to Olhao centre ( good choice of restaurants , shops and bars ), overlooking the Ria Formosa and opposite the ferry terminal to delightful offshore islands, Farol, Culatro, Deserta etc. The outdoor pool faces south and has sunshine all day .The indoor pool is good and quiet whilst the spa offers a good range of treatments. I think all bedrooms have a balcony. The rooms are spacious with well equipped bathrooms. Three lifts serve the upper floors and the whole place is spotless. Staff are very pleasant and most have a good command of English. The breakfast buffet is exceptionally good . Dinner, for those on half board, has strong local influence and features a lot of fish dishes but there is always a good meat or poultry alternative and the choice of salads and "puds" is mouth watering. The dinner wine package is particularly good value.
