Rocamar Complex - Roca Mar Hotel

Roca mar is a very clean hotel. Great location on the cliffs into the sea. All staff were both proffesional and helpful at all times. Breakfast was good with a big selection and choice. The hotel has a good gym ( it's partner hotel ) free to use. Free WiFi. Happy hour at the bar . Entertainment. Hard to fault really maybe the air con a bit dated and noisy but other than that a solid 4 star hotel.

My wife and I recently spent 10 nights at the Roca Mar and we would recommend a stay here to anybody,everything about the Roca Mar was excellent, the staff were really excellent and very friendly,nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spotless and had a fantastic sea view,the restaurant had an excellent selection at all mealtimes for every taste, again a very attentive.The entertainment in the evening was very enjoyable as was the speed of the bar staff who never stopped all night..... Will we visit the Roca Mar again ? You bet we will.

Our room had a great view over the sea, staff helpful and friendly we only had breakfast but there was a wide variety and it was served till 10 O'clock which was great. The free mini bus to Funchal was a great help as everywhere was up hill from the hotel. There were quite a few restaurants in walking distance and one attached to the hotel. I think we would go again for a winter break but would take my trainers!!!

The hotel is right on the coast, book a sea view room its well worth it. The restaurant was closed for work being done so all the meals were in the Royal Orchid Hotel next door. The hotels are joined together so this was not a problem. The work looked as it was nearly finished when we were leaving. The service and food were of a very high standard and we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was very spacious and clean with a very good sleep quality and was cleaned to a high standard. There is a mini bus transfer that needs to be booked in advance to get you to Funchal which only takes about 15 minutes to get too. We had a great break here.

Nice clean hotel. Wonderful sea views. Took a day or two to adjust to the tranquility but could find nothing to complain about. Booked mountain view room but we're given a sea view room 716. Had sea view to two sides. Plenty of sun beds. We had a pool virtually to ourselves some days. Food acceptable, had better and worse. Liked eating on the sun terrace. Funchal well worth visiting. Went three times during our weeks stay.

Hotel very clean. Fantastic views staff helpful. Food good we want to return next year we loved it so relaxing but can't see it in jet 2 brochure. The local restraints in canico were really good value and lovely home made dishes

We just got back from the holiday and cant wait to return in the next couple of mouths . The food was very good and the service was brilliant. It was a great place to relax and recharge the battery.The room was clean and we was given a free upgrade the beding was changed every day and fresh towels was given daily.
