Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get the exact car model displayed during the booking?

We can’t guarantee this, as it depends what the car hire provider has available. If you don’t get the same model, you'll get a similar car with enough space for all your passengers and the same luggage capacity of your original vehicle. If you don’t, you’ll be entitled to a refund.

How do I find out about the luggage capacity of a vehicle?

It’s clearly shown on a suitcase symbol when you’re choosing your car.

My rental car was in a bad condition at pick-up. What should I do?

Tell the car hire provider straight away so they can give you a replacement. If you have any issues, please contact us.

My rental car was damaged at pick up - what should I do?

It’s best to fully check your car as soon as you collect it, as any damages could affect your excess. If you find any issues, tell the car hire provider straight away so they can give you another vehicle. If you have any problems, please contact us.

Can I request an automatic car?

Yes. When you’re searching for your car, just select ‘Automatic' in the transmission filter. You’ll see the transmission type clearly labelled on each option.

Which optional extras are available?

"These vary between providers but here are some of the handy extras you can add to your booking: • Additional driver • Booster seat / Child toddler seat / Infant child seat • GPS • Luggage / Roof rack"

When will I be charged for Optional Extras?

Any optional extras you add to your booking will be payable at pick up, in the local currency for the latest price.

I reserved an optional extra but it was not available at pick-up. What should I do?

If your pre-booked extras are not available at pick up, give us a call so we can query with the car hire provider.

Which Documents do I need to bring to the Rental Desk?

The voucher we send you will contain the documents you need to bring. In most cases, you’ll need your: • Credit card - in the name of the driver. • Driving licence – full licence held for at least one year. • Booking voucher

Do I need an international Driver's Licence?

"If your licence isn’t printed in the Roman alphabet (if it’s printed in Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese for example) you will need an international driving licence. If you’re renting outside the EU, you'll usually need an international driving licence, regardless of the alphabet. When using your international driving licence, you’ll also need your domestic one. You’ll also need to go to www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence to create a one-time passcode. This code is valid for 21 days and you need to show it when you collect your hire car. If you have a Northern Ireland licence, you’ll need your paper counterpart too. For more information, visit www.gov.uk/government/news/driving-licence-changes ."

Is it sufficient to present a copy of my driving licence?

No – you’ll need to have your original driving licence in order to pick up your hire car.

Can we get our hire car delivered to our villa?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer this service. All cars are collected and returned to the rental provider at the airport.

Will I receive driving instructions and information on toll roads?

You’ll be given directions to your villa with your voucher details, 28 days before you set off on your holiday.

Are transfers provided?

Car hire is included as standard in all our villa holidays. If transfers are available, you’ll be given the option to change if you like.

Do I need to generate a DVLA ‘Check Code’?

When collecting your vehicle some suppliers may only ask for a code so that they can check your licence online or for a printout of your licence details. Please ensure you generate a DVLA ‘Check Code’ from the DVLA website to take with you for your rental. This code is valid for 21 days from the date it was created. It can only be used once, to protect the driver’s privacy.
