Keys facts about Pomorie
With a pinch of salt
Nature is this resort’s big draw, with Lake Pomorie being the jewel in the crown. Separated from the sea by nothing but a slither of black sand, this 6.7km-long lagoon is a haven for animals – attracting the shelly, winged and feathered! The lake’s salt is also believed to have healing properties, you can even have a mud bath here. Want to learn more? Make sure you visit the The Salt Museum!
A journey back in time
Although much of Pomorie was destroyed by a fire in 1906, you’ll still find traces of the resort’s captivating past today. Add Sveti Georgi Monastery to your to-see list with its wonderful white façade, then head to the old town for endless charm. Think wooden-shutters, terracotta rooftops and intriguing architecture.
