Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa

Hotel was very good Check in... we arrived early hours of the morning due to flight changes, Prosecco on arrival (I had 2) and a quick check in. Shown to our room. Bed very comfortable and the room temp was just right.. sandwiches and water left in the fridge for our arrival too. After a good night sleep we woke up to an gorgeous view and sunshine :-) very happy, room was clean and bed comfortable, nothing to complain about at all. Fresh water left daily by our lovely and friendly housekeeper, Food... Always something to eat, breakfast was your normal bacon and eggs etc, omelettes and fresh honey! Fruit, toast and your normal buffet selections. Same with lunch and evening meals, always a good selection plus you have the A La Carte restaurants to choose if you wish. Snack bar was good and fresh pasta made in the Italian at lunch time if you wanted it. Hotel was kept very clean and outside areas, staff very friendly, sun beds were a bit of a gripe with reserving them for floor 5/6 guest on a premium package, some were reserved all day and no one used them, this is a let down for the hotel in my opinion, as you couldn't always find a bed.. but lifeguards would try and help and would try to get you umbrellas if none available. There was a swim up pool bar... didn't go near this as a bit yuk looking from sun cream, amount of people in there too. I actually think they slept there! Main pool was lovely and refreshing and clean. Little beach area was lovely with sunbeds too and safe for the non confident swimmer. Bar staff were amazing and very friendly, any cocktail you wanted was made and they even made their own concoction for you... This hotel is an adult only hotel, it has a lot of facilities - 3 bars, 3 restaurant's, a main buffet area, snack bar and lunch area. You will not go hungry! The best food was actually in the main buffet, food was fresh, good variation, tasty and well presented. The only improvement would be for the staff members to hover less over guests and wait until guests are finished with their meals. I very often had a mouth full and waiters would take my plate away. This spoiled the dining experience massively as we felt rushed and unwelcome. Some waiters were lovely, hostess Emilia was a star, she took pictures for us on the bridge with the sunset. She was great. Drinks were perfect, coffee was good but not excellent. Note that if you purchase standard inclusive you will not get certain cocktails such as mojitos or pina coladas but you can purchase a day pass for the gold/platinum band, I believe it was £20 per person, per day. The drinks at the pool bar were diluted for sure but in the hotel they were definitely fine and yummy. Staff was nice behind the bar especially if you made an effort with your Greek ;). The pool is splendid, plenty of room even when packed, lots of activities, DJS playing. The sun loungers were well kept by the team and cups were always collected. The pool bar and onsite team deserve a raise because they were 10/10!!! Please note that you also get to eat once at all 3 restaurants at the resort, Greek, Japanese Asian fusion and Italian. The staff is great but the food is average, the main buffet has much more flavorful food. The location of the resort is perfect, even has a semi 'private' beach which is in a cove style, the water is warm and clear. The resort is in a VERY tourist area, I suggest wandering into the hills and eating at 7 St George ( traditional Greek food). The restaurants around had poor quality food - I would give it a 4/10. I recommend taking advantage of the boat tours - specifically BLUE LAGOON. The quad bikes were also fun ( right outside of the hotel). If I could go back I would hire a car and travel the island as it is very small driving from one side of the Island to the other is just under 5 hours !!! This place is perfect for couples, there is a spa onsite, which I wish had our treatments included in the price. The ladies there were SO SO lovely and the massage was incredible. Best I ever had. Perfect firmness. Our actual room was so stunning and atmospheric. The housekeepers kept it so clean! THANK YOU!

We can only comment on the Deluxe Room and Service we had opted for, which was superb. The only negative points we could raise were the over crowding in the sunbathing areas leading to people removing our reserved umbrella and also the extremely loud music being played at the beach bar during the day. Other than that we totally enjoyed our first trip to this hotel.

Hotel lovely and clean, the lady that cleaned our room made a big effort every day. Food was great no complaints. Never short of a sunbed no matter what time of day. Entertainment was better than most hotels we have been to.

Hotel lovely, very clean all the staff are friendly without exception food is very good and varied. Entertainment is low key and geared to the older generation eg60_70s Another niggle all inclusive is 2 tiered had we known we would have upgraded for better drinks etc pool is excellent with plenty of beds though inclusive plus are able to reserve them.

Hotel was nice & clean. Bars a bit slow. 6th floor well worth the wee treat. Breakfast was good but didn't sample dinner. Lunch was as expected. The 6th floor check in was good and the veiws were also good

we had 9 days here in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay ,we upgraded to platinum class on the 6th floor ,it had its own lounge .The bedrooms were well equipped with great aircon ,housekeeping service was very good .we found the food very good with a wide selection .we ate in all 3 speciality restaurants ,the Greek venue was poor ,with both service and food ,but the asian was outstanding .Overall we had a great stay

Have just returned home from 11 nights at Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris. We had a fantastic time. Hotel and facilities excellent. We had beach view room and had fantastic view. The staff were excellent. The Greek Taverna and Asian restaurant were fantastic and really enjoyed our experience with them. Special thanks go to Fotoulla and Michalis who were exceptional and couldn’t do enough to help everyone and were exceptionally nice and friendly. Everyone was helpful and had a fantastic time. The variety of food was fantastic and drinks and snacks in abundance. There were some very small stray kittens in the hedge next to the Greek Taverna that captured everyone’s hearts. I would urge every guest to look after them. They are completely adorable. We managed to get kitten food in Sainsbury Supermarket in Pathos. We had a fantastic, relaxing stay and were totally looked after by the hotel and staff. Our only criticism would be the lack of care offered to all the stray cats in and around Pathos. As animal lovers we found this quite distressing and spent a lot of money on food for these cats.

Excellent. Very friendly and helpful members of staff. Meals very delicious and good variety of food . Spa was great and we especially enjoyed the fish spa. Had a very good time. Will definitely go back.
