Kamerlengo Fortress

Kamerlengo Fortress

Although it’s now just an empty shell, this castle is still an impressive remnant of the Republic of Venice. It was built in the 15th century and its title, ‘Kamerlengo’, refers to the Venetian official who would have once stayed there. In the summer months the castle is opened up and used as a stage for performances.
