Day trip to Taormina 

You’ll be around 10 kilometres from the hilltop town of Taormina, so if you fancy a day filled with ancient history, bustling public squares and stunning scenery, it should be top of your agenda. Plus, you can capture up-close glimpses of majestic Mount Etna or visit the magical miniature isle of Isola Bella.

Sun, sea and sand 

With a coastline that stretches for nearly four kilometres, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to golden shores and sandy plots to lay down your towel. There are a handful of beaches dotted along the coast, with the biggest being in Naxos bay. Some are wild, natural bays and some are huge stretches of powdery sand that have all the elements of a popular beach spot. Think loungers, beach bars and ice cream vendors.
