Small in size, but big on charm… say hello to Moncarapacho. Things are pretty laidback round here, with a quaint cobbled square overlooked by a wonderful whitewashed church. And the backdrop? It’s all rolling hills and luscious landscapes thanks to the Ria Formosa Natural Park right on the doorstep.

Let’s celebrate
When spring arrives, the town comes alive for the amazing Moncarapacho Carnival. Crowds flock to see the cool and quirky costumes, fantastic floats and merry musicians, and to experience the upbeat atmosphere! Look out for this year’s dates, the last few have been held in either February or March.
Fabulous Faro
The Algarve’s culture-packed capital is only 18km away, and it’s well worth a visit. A halo of ancient city walls surrounds Faro’s unspoilt beauty. Enter through the enchanting Arco da Vila to reveal pastel-painted buildings, arched alleyways and pebbled pavements – there are endless sights to see and treasures to be found.
