Indulgent Escapes to the Bodrum Area
Here you have classic Turkey on full display. Exhibited around all its terrific towns, Bodrum’s history and culture are intertwined – and there’s so much to uncover. Whether it’s hunting for relics, perusing boutiques or taking time out for R&R, you’ll be in your element. Enchanting landscapes are at your beck and call too.
Indulgence, any time of day
Morning
There’s no need to rise early in Bodrum. This part of Turkey will be primed to show off its best bits when it suits you. So after a leisurely continental breakfast, how about a private, luxurious boat trip? Many tend to scuba dive here, though a slower pace can be savoured by beachfront lazing instead.
Afternoon
Following a light meze lunch in the sun, you could consider setting sail to a Greek isle – perhaps Kos or Rhodes. They’re so close that experiencing both countries in one retreat is doable. But for a truly local afternoon, we can’t recommend a calming pampering in a Turkish hammam enough.
Evening
Bodrum’s marvellous marina should be your first port of call for dining outside your hotel. Net-fresh seafood dishes, sumptuous, seared meats and vegetation platters provide a feast for the senses. This area is blessed with various atmospheric bars too, so a signature tipple wouldn’t go amiss...
