Mdina Gate

The best way to enter the old walled city of Mdina is through the ornate Mdina Gate, also called the Vilhena Gate and Main Gate. Rebuilt in 1724, it’s an elaborate and grand Baroque entrance that gives you a real sense of the town’s important past. Arrive early if you can, as this site is very popular with tourists.
