The trio of sandy beaches here are simply lovely. Find yourself one of those rattan parasols and pitch up for some sand, sea and snoozing. If you’re feeling flush, you can even hire a four-poster bed for the day. There’s a bunch of water sports to try if that’s your cup of tea, but people-watching is the main event around here.

How do yachts, casinos and cocktails sound? Get your glad rags on for dinner and drinks around the marina, and you’ll have the world on a plate when it comes to cuisine. There’s everything from classic Bulgarian to seafood, steak and Italian on the menu, plus most places make the most of the view with a sea-facing terrace. Then, either hit the casino or pop along to the amphitheatre for an open-air show or live music.
