Text
In a lush green setting on the western side of Pothia Valley, Panormos is among the most popular resorts on Kalymnos. Whitewashed houses are dotted along the coast, and the leafy streets are lined with quaint cafés and shops. The Patela Rock that separates the beaches is one of the village’s most recognisable features.

There’s a trio of beaches

In a privileged position between not one, but three beaches, Panormos is the perfect place to catch some rays. The beaches of Platos Yialos, Linaria and Kantouni are just a stone’s throw away with a handful of tavernas serving up the best local food. Take a seat and enjoy the sea views.

Ready for rock climbing?

Like much of the island, Panormos’ landscape is perfect for climbing and mountaineering. The limestone cliffs and rocky crags provide a challenging day’s activities for all abilities. Climbing only really became popular here in the 1990’s, so certain routes on the island lay relatively undiscovered. Don’t miss the annual climbing festival in October!
