Michelangelo's Tower

Michelangelo's Tower

Michelangelo's Tower was built in 1433 as a fortress to protect the coast. It was later given to the noble Guevara family. Locals believe the artist Michelangelo once lived there and painted some of the frescoes inside, but this has not been proven. Today the tower hosts exhibitions by international artists.
