Cefalu

Cefalu holidays

Idyllic seascapes, an authentic Old Town and stacks of captivating history – it’s all here in Cefalu. This town’s dominated by an immense rocky cliff which watches over the terracotta-topped houses below and makes the setting totally unique. It may be one of the most popular spots on the island, but it still retains that Italian charm that makes Sicily so special.

Attractions by the bucketload

There’s an endless list of things to see and do in this part of the island but UNESCO-stamped Cefalu Cathedral should be top of your list. Add to that the La Rocca viewpoint and the Porta Pescara gate and you’ve got a lot of sightseeing on your hands. There’s even a medieval laundry house to have a nosy around!

The best of both worlds

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of busy streets while also having a sandy beach just a stone’s throw away. You could tick off the top sights on a morning then catch the afternoon sun at the beach with gelato. Simply take a seat on the promenade benches and watch the sea roll in.
