The Holocaust Memorial was erected in 2001 in memory of the 2000 Jewish citizens of Corfu who died in Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps in June 1944. The bronze sculpture, by Georgios Karahalios, is of a naked family and a plaque on the memorial reads, “Never again for any nation.”
