Statue of Jaume III

Statue of Jaume III

Llucmajor has a lot of interesting history attached to it. It was the site of a battle in 1349 in which Pedro IV of Aragon killed his cousin Jaume III, ending Majorca's short stint as an independent kingdom. Jaume's death is commemorated by a statue at the end of Passeig Jaume III.
