Ponte Vecchio

Possibly the most romantic place in Florence - so much so, the council have introduced fines for couples caught attaching a padlock to this ancient bridge and then throwing the key into the Arno river. The shops dotted along it, once fishmongers and butchers 700 years ago, are now jewellers and art dealers.
