Broken Chair Sculpture

Broken Chair Sculpture

This 12-metre-high, monumental sculpture sits opposite the United Nations European HQ. It was built at the request of humanitarian organisation Handicap International. It’s meant as a reminder of the plight of victims of landmines and cluster bombs and to urge all nations to sign the Ottowa Treaty, banning landmines.
