Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola

The ceiling is the star at the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola. Painted by Andrea Pozzo, it’s a clever tromp l’oeil that gives the illusion of a dome filled with floating figures that appear to be falling down on your from the sky. Some say it’s better than the Sistine’s ceiling – but don’t tell Michelangelo.
