Franciscan Monastery

Franciscan Monastery

The 15th-century Franciscan Monastery in Hvar Town was built initially as a haven for sailors. Today its museum displays lace artefacts, nautical charts, old coins and rare books. It's also home to a giant 16th-century painting of The Last Supper, which measures over 8 metres long.
