Battistero di San Giovanni

Battistero di San Giovanni

Small but beautiful, 14th-centure Battistero di San Giovanni is most famous for its baptismal font. The font is decorated with six gilded bronze panels by some the greatest sculptors of the Renaissance, and recounts stories of St John the Baptist. The ornate floor, walls and painted ceiling are also very impressive.
