Halikounas

Halikounas holidays

Nestled next to the famous Lake Korission, and keeping things minimal with its modest selection of restaurants, Halikounas is great if you’re looking to keep things low key. That being said, you’ll find yourself perfectly placed for a spot of resort hopping, if you decide you want to turn things up a notch.

Beach bliss

The silky sands stretch for over 3km here on Halikounas Beach, and divide the magical Lake Korission from the shimmering sea. There’s plenty of space, so finding the perfect spot to lay your towel shouldn’t be a problem, even when the beach gets busier in high season.

A gateway to Corfu

The sleepy resort of St George South is around 16km from Halikounas, so if you fancy a change of scenery, head this way. Check out the eastern village of Moraitika too. It’s all whitewashed buildings and amber-coloured roofs, and is great place for souvenir shopping.
