Friedrichstrasse

If you want a street that perfectly sums up Berlin, head to Friedrichstrasse. It used to be split by the Berlin Wall and was the location of Checkpoint Charlie. Today, the street is a heady mix of the old and new with revamped buildings, comforting coffee shops and French style. It runs from the old Mitte district to Hallesches Tor in Kreuzberg.
