Santisimo Cristo de la Buena Murte

Santisimo Cristo de la Buena Murte

This beautiful crucifix takes centre stage in parades during Holy Week. Created by 17th-century sculptor, Pedro de Mena, the carving is considered to be one of his most outstanding works, but was partly destroyed in 1931. It's now displayed at the 19th-century Church of Santo Domingo.
