Orto Botanico di Pisa

Orto Botanico di Pisa

Established in 1544 by the Medici family, this is the oldest botanical garden in Europe. It’s run by the university for study purposes, rather than as a showpiece for tourists, so it’s informative rather than spectacular. Still, it’s a nice calm green space with some interesting plant species.
