From gentle strolls to challenging hikes, there’s a route to suit every pace and ability.
Lace up your walking boots and head inland to explore Majorca’s charming inland villages, where cobbled streets, stone houses and peaceful squares offer a glimpse of traditional island life. Wander through Sóller, Deià and Valldemossa, passing rolling hills and citrus orchards along the way. Why not take a pit stop to rest and sample some local delicacies?
Explore Majorca’s spectacular coastline on foot, following scenic paths along rugged cliffs, hidden coves and turquoise waters. Enjoy the breeze and breathe in the fresh Mediterranean air, plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the views along the way. Lots of resorts have seafront promenades too, so if you prefer a gentler stroll, you could opt for these.
Spring and autumn are ideal seasons for a walking holiday in Majorca, when temperatures are at their most comfortable for exploring the island’s scenic trails. Visit between March and May for colourful wildflowers and lush landscapes, or from September to November for milder days and quieter paths. Peak summertime can be very hot, so early starts are recommended if you’re visiting in July and August.
The beautiful Boquer Valley is a scenic 3km route in northern Majorca which stretches from Port de Pollensa to the rocky sea cove of Cala Boquer. It’s surrounded by dramatic mountains, wildflowers and unique Mediterranean landscapes, so there are plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife. It’s a popular route for nature- lovers!
At La Reserva Puig de Galatzo, woodland trails wind through the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. You can stroll beneath pine and holm oak trees, cross pretty streams and admire waterfalls along the way – you could even cool off with a dip in the natural pools! With wildlife, peaceful scenery and stunning mountain views, it’s a wonderful spot for a day outdoors.
Enjoy a scenic walk around Cúber Reservoir, nestled among the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains. The 5km circuit takes you through peaceful countryside, with striking mountain views and glimpses of Majorca’s rugged natural beauty. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the tranquil surroundings – it’s a really rewarding route if you’re wanting a taste of the island’s great outdoors!
