Shoes on the Danube Memorial

Visit Budapest's most haunting memorial, Shoes on the Danube Bank. This moving tribute is made up of 60 pairs of shoes, cast in iron, to represent the Jewish victims that passed away here during World War II. You'll find it on the east side of the Danube, a couple of minutes' walk south of the Parliament building.
