Alanya Fortress

Alanya’s 13th-century hilltop fortress is surrounded by wall over six kilometres long, with 140 towers. Inside are ruins of houses, cisterns, and an 11th-century Byzantine church with a courtyard decorated with frescoes. You can get there by bus or, if you have the energy, walk up in about an hour.
