A little way out, sitting between the sea and the Sierra Alhamilla mountains is the small village of Nijar. It’s a beautifully typical settlement with whitewashed houses and a maze of lanes. You can spend time here browsing local artisan produce, such as ceramics, woven blankets and tapas.
