Lake Voulismeni

Known as the bottomless lake by locals, Lake Voulismeni is 64 metres in depth and has an enchanting history surrounding it. According to Greek mythology, the goddesses Athena and Artemis Britomartys would go there to bathe. A channel that was built in the late 1800s connects the lake to the nearby harbour.
