Samaria Gorge

Samaria Gorge

Taking a hike through this stunning gorge is a must-do while you're in Crete. Situated in the National Park of Samaria, in the White Mountains, the gorge is open to the public from May until October. The walk is tough - 16 kilometres - but it's worth it for the natural beauty of the place, as well as the endangered kri-kri goats that wander the gorge's paths.
