Afytos Beach is situated on the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki, Greece, just below the traditional stone-built village of Afytos. It is about 80 km southeast of Thessaloniki.

The beach is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, golden sand, and stunning views of the Toroneos Gulf. It combines natural beauty with traditional charm, as it lies beneath one of the most picturesque villages in Halkidiki.

Is Afytos Beach sandy or pebbly?

The beach is mainly sandy with some areas that have pebbles, especially at the shoreline. This mix makes it suitable for both sunbathing and swimming.

Afitos Beach

It’s about ten-minutes’ walk downhill from the village to Afitos main beach but it’s worth the effort. The quiet, unspoilt, sheltered beach is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun and the sound of the waves. There’s a sand and shingle mix, clear blue water and a couple of beach bars for refreshments.
