Ibiza's hippy markets are vibrant outdoor markets selling handmade crafts, clothing, jewellery, art, and other unique items, often with a bohemian or free-spirited vibe. They hark back to the island’s history as a refuge for artists and counter-culture figures in the 1960s and 70s. They are a popular tourist attraction and offer a unique shopping experience.
The opening days vary depending on the market. As mentioned above, Punta Arabí is on Wednesdays and Las Dalias is on Saturdays. The smaller hippy markets tend to have specific days and times, so it's best to check online before you go. Note that some markets only operate during the summer season (roughly May to October).
You can find a wide range of goods, including handmade clothing, leather goods, jewellery (silver, beads, etc.), artwork, bohemian-style homeware, incense, CDs, food and drink. Expect unique and handcrafted items, not mass-produced souvenirs.
