Jameos del Agua is a stunning natural attraction and artistic intervention created within a volcanic tunnel, part of the vast "Tunnel of Atlantis" formed by the eruption of the La Corona volcano. It was designed by Lanzarote's renowned artist and architect, César Manrique, to harmonise art with nature. It features a stunning subterranean saltwater lake, a unique auditorium, a restaurant, and lush gardens.
Jameos del Agua is situated in the north of Lanzarote, on the road between the villages of Arrieta and Órzola. It's easily accessible by car or via public bus routes, and it's a key stop on most north island tour itineraries.
While it's not always mandatory, booking your tickets online in advance is highly recommended. This guarantees your entry, helps you avoid potential queues, and often allows you to select a specific entry time, especially important during peak tourist seasons.
