This museum is one of the world's largest collections of arms and armour, housed in the home of the Knights of St John, a brotherhood of warrior monks who crusaded against the Ottoman Turks. The building re-opened as Malta's first public museum in 1860 and displays a collection of European armoury, as well as Islamic and Ottoman arms.
