Cetinje Monastery

Cetinje Monastery

This spiritual centre is famous for being the home of important religious relics; the remains of St Peter of Cetinje, the right hand of John the Baptist and particles of the true cross, to name a few. The monastery was founded in the fifteenth century, and was subjected to repeated raids by the Turks.
