With a spooling 500m beach, a collection of sleepy seaside tavernas and the ancient ruins of Paphos on your doorstep, Coral Bay takes elegant coastline to a whole new level. Archaeological parks, pine forests and a strip of shops for a spot of retail therapy all add the cherry on top.

The Blue Flag beach is the jewel in Coral Bay’s crown – it’s wide, flat and covered in powdery golden sand. You can snorkel in the clear water, set off on a catamaran trip or just enjoy a doze on a sunbed. Behind the sand, rustic tavernas and cafés line the sun-soaked waterfront.
Once the sun’s set over the bay, candlelit restaurants on the main strip really come into their own. There’s a focus on family fun – magicians and entertainers put in regular appearances. For something a little livelier, karaoke nights are popular here, plus clubs and bars in Paphos are 15 minutes’ drive away.
There’s a wealth of history to explore on your Paphos holiday. It’s the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, with an ancient temple in dedication. Another must-see is the Byzantine castle on the harbour. Alongside that, there’s the Tombs of the Kings and a set of Roman floor mosaics which could have been laid yesterday.
