Admire its ancient past

Previously, the Roman port of Axos, many of the ancient influences can still be seen today. Above the harbour, you’ll find the remains of a medieval fort and out of sight, behind the village are the ruins of the Early Christian Basilica of Agia Sophia – both are certainly a must-see!

Three beaches are better than one

Beneath the harbour sit three hidden coves, each with their own swathe of golden sand. These are protected from the wind, so sunbathing is bliss! The calm waters make for the ideal swimming spot, or if you fancy something a little more thrilling, why not hop on a jet ski or pedalo?
