Gozo’s biggest resort, Marsalforn, is awash with rocky coves and beaches. These sun-freckled spots are great for everyone, but there’s a lot of Roman history to discover as well. This fishing village still has its eye on all things nautical – you can even wait and watch as fishermen haul in their nets.
Marsalforn’s centred around a crescent of hotels, bars and restaurants, this is the resort for laid-back mingling. Bargain hunt for those all-important souvenirs to take home, or even sail around Gozo’s coast or near Malta. Taking time to explore is so easy here – you could even spend a few hours in Xaghra.

Marsalforn is best known for its charming bay, lively seafront promenade, excellent swimming and snorkelling spots, as well as its role as Gozo's primary holiday resort. It is also popular for diving, thanks to its clear waters and diverse marine life.
Yes, Marsalforn is family-friendly, with safe shallow waters in parts of the bay, plenty of restaurants serving varied cuisines, and a relaxed evening atmosphere. Children can enjoy the pebble beaches, boat trips, and coastal walks.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkelling, and diving. Boat trips to nearby caves and bays are readily available, while the promenade is perfect for leisurely evening strolls. The nearby salt pans are also a popular attraction for walkers and photographers.
Marsalforn has a relaxed nightlife scene. While you won't find large nightclubs, the village offers a number of bars and lounge-style venues where visitors can enjoy cocktails, music, and a friendly atmosphere.
The summer months (June to September) are the busiest and most vibrant, particularly for swimming and outdoor dining. Spring and autumn are quieter, offering pleasant weather and fewer crowds, making them ideal for hiking and sightseeing.
