Saint Spyridon Church

Saint Spyridon Church

Saint Spyridon Church is named after Corfu’s patron saint, a shepherd originally from Cyprus who became a bishop and performed miracles before his death. His remains lie in a silver casket in the church. Saint Spyridon is thought to have saved Corfu four times from grave danger and Spiros is the most popular boy’s name.
