The neighbouring town of Puerto Mogan is absolute must-visit if you’re holidaying in Playa Taurito. Once an old fishing village, this buzzy marina is a hub for both tourists and locals alike. You can stroll the streets and admire the traditional, Mediterranean-style houses then take a seat in an al fresco restaurant for a spot of lunch.

Puerto Mogán earned its famous nickname, "Little Venice Gran Canaria," due to its unique architectural design. The modernised area of the fishing village features a series of charming, pedestrianised walkways and picturesque bridges that cross several small seawater canals linking the colourful apartments together. This design, particularly concentrated around the central marina, gives it a distinct resemblance to a miniature, modern Venice.
The bustling Puerto Mogán market is held every Friday morning from around 9:00 to 14:00. This is the busiest day of the week, attracting thousands of holidaymakers.
The highest concentration of quality dining establishments is located directly along the edge of the marina and harbour. These restaurants specialise in freshly caught seafood, often displayed on ice before cooking. For a more authentic, less tourist-focused experience, venture slightly outside the marina complex into the older parts of the village for traditional tapas and Canarian cuisine.
We don’t have any villas in this resort right now. But we’ve hundreds available in other destinations, so find your perfect one now.
