MIAC - Castillo de San Jose

Formerly one of Lanzarote's most important fortresses, Castillo de San Jose was rescued from decay by architect Cesar Manrique, who helped transform it into an art gallery - Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo, or MIAC for short. Today its collection features works from Picasso, Tàpies, Miró and Manrique himself, whose influence can be seen in the stylish bar.
